What do I need to make an appointment?
To see a specialist you require a valid, named referral from your GP or other referring practitioner.
This is a requirement of the Federal Government, so you can claim your rebate from Medicare.
Unfortunately, without a valid referral, Medicare will not reimburse you for any expenses from a specialist visit.
Your referral must be named to the specialist your consultation is booked with and must be signed and dated by the referring practitioner.
If you are unsure if your referral is valid please do not hesitate to contact us on 08 84 232 622.

How much will it cost?
The cost for consultations and tests varies. When you make your appointment, you will be informed of the fee to be paid for your consultation and any known tests scheduled.
Government health care card holders and Pensioners are bulk billed.

Do I have to pay on the day of consultation?
Yes, we ask that you pay the account in full on the day of consultation and/or test.
Our clinic uses the Medicare Easyclaim System. Following full account payment, we can simply swipe your Medicare card and your EFTPOS card, and your Medicare rebate is paid directly in to your account by Medicare.
If you have not registered for this service with Medicare, you will be issued a receipt which you can take to Medicare to claim your rebate.
You can register your bank account details with Medicare to participate in the Medicare Easyclaim System by visiting your local Medicare branch, registering on line or phone 132011.

Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we accept credit cards and have EFTPOS facilities available.
What do I bring on the day of my consultation and/or test? 
Please bring with you:
• A valid referral
• Medicare/DVA card
• Pension or Healthcare card
• List of current medications
• X-rays, scans or test results
• Any questionnaires or forms you may have been given regarding this appointment

How do I cancel or reschedule my appointment?
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please call 08 84 232 622 or email us at info@elizabethspecialists.com.au as soon as possible.
Failure to attend your appointment or cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in $ 25 non-attendance fee being charged.
